COPINGS
Aluminium Copings are an economical, weatherproof and easily installed finish to parapet and balcony walls.
APPEARANCE: Mill finish or polyester powder coated, after fabrication to any of our standard range colours.
COMPOSITION: Copings are fabricated from alumium alloy sheet or stainless steel, in varying thicknesses. Fixing straps are 3mm thick aluminium with a neoprene strip if required.
THERMAL MOVEMENT: A gap of 2-3mm left between coping sections will accomodate normal thermal movement.
WIND RESISTANCE: Wemico copings have been satisfactorily used in many locations. it is essential that copings are properly fixed to enable them to meet design performance.
ACCESSORIES: 90 degree corners and T junctions, stopends or closed ends, upstands and joints are available. Irregular corners can also be made.
SIZING: When specifying or ordering, state the total wall width including finishes, rendering, asphalt or flashings. Standard length is 2.5m but other lengths can be made to order.
FIXING: Secure fixing bracket to the top of the wall at 600mm centres. Place coping over the bracket and push down firmly to clip over the bracket flanges. Leave a 2-3mm expansion gap at all joints.
